Edible Oil Factory: Amenity Block Expansion
AAK India Private Limited | Jun, 2024 to Aug, 2024
Opportunity
AAK intended to expand onto their Amenities infrastructure to better support the operations manpower. While the existing manufacturing infrastructure had reached saturation levels, the company management envisioned a proper, complete and new infrastructure meeting global standards. Further, the expectations of stakeholders of both the local factory and head office were to be understood and aligned before developing a holistic solution.
Solution
PMG team worked with all the stakeholders to identify the needs, requirements and expectations formally. Given the constraints of space, location, and others, viable options of the Architectural Design were developed and discussed. The selected option was further refined till deemed qualified and meeting expected criterias. Subsequently, structural design was done, BOQ and Tender Specifications were developed conforming to local practices of the available contractors. Simultaneously, the MEP works were done to fast track the overall design works.
Outcome
The complete set of Design Deliverables, including Civil Achitectural and Structural Design, Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Design, and 3D Models were delivered in time, complying relevant standards, and meeting stakeholder expectations. A further discussion was held with potential contractors to onboard them over the design intent and prepared documents for a smooth transition to construction phase.
