Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO) identified the need for a high-performance diverter valve solution at its fertilizer manufacturing facility. The application demanded exceptional durability, operational reliability, and precision to maintain stringent quality standards. OMIFCO required a partner with proven expertise in sourcing and delivering precision-engineered, high-capacity components within a constrained timeline. Recognizing the critical nature of the requirement, PMG was selected to oversee the entire sourcing, selection, and supply process—ensuring the delivery of a robust, cost-effective solution that would seamlessly integrate with OMIFCO’s operations.

Solution

PMG designed the diverter valve and conducted a thorough market assessment, identifying a leading UK-based manufacturer renowned for producing high-quality valves tailored for industrial applications. The selection criteria were stringent, emphasizing the • valve's capacity to handle large volumes, • resistance to wear, and • compatibility with OMIFCO’s existing systems. The scope included meticulously managing every phase—from technical discussions and specifications development to contract negotiations and quality assurance. The proactive approach involved regular communication with the manufacturer to oversee production, ensuring compliance with required standards, and coordinating timely for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to verify the valve’s performance before shipment.

Outcome

The diverter valve was successfully manufactured, tested, and delivered at Oman, meeting all quality and performance benchmarks. PMG’s thorough supplier selection process and effective project management enabled OMIFCO to seamlessly integrate the new equipment, boosting operational efficiency and ensuring the durability needed for high-volume fertilizer production.
