Potato starch production equipment is the machinery used to extract starch from potatoes and turn it into a dry, free-flowing powder. The process runs in stages: cleaning and washing, crushing and grinding, starch extraction and purification, and dewatering and drying. Each stage has its own equipment set, and the working principle across the line is the same — separate the starch from the other components of the potato, then dry it to create a final product suitable for food processing and other applications.
Cleaning and washing equipment removes dirt, stones and other impurities, using potato washing machines, stone removers and designers. Crushing and grinding equipment — potato crushers, rasping machines and grinders — breaks the potatoes into small pieces or particles so that starch can be released. Extraction and purification equipment then separates the starch from fibre and protein using centrifuges, sieves, hydro cyclones and decanters.
