Grinding and mixing, where raw materials are ground to reduce particle size so they are easier to handle and mix uniformly, and the different ingredients are thoroughly mixed to create a balanced and nutritionally complete feed. Extrusion or pelleting, where heat, pressure and mechanical force shape the feed — improving texture and digestibility while killing potential pathogens through the high temperatures involved. Finally, packaging of the finished product into bags, totes or bulk containers.
