The working principle follows five steps. Incoming potatoes are washed and sorted to remove dirt, debris or foreign matter. They are then peeled using specialised equipment to remove the outer skin. Next comes cutting and slicing into small pieces or strips, depending on the desired final product. The prepared potato is cooked and dried using a combination of heat and pressure. Finally, the dried potato pieces are ground into a fine powder in a specialised mill or grinder.
