Food Storage Condition

Storing food safely is crucial for maintaining its quality and preventing foodborne illnesses. Highly perishable foods, semi-perishable foods, and non-perishable foods each require specific storage conditions based on their rate of perishability.

Remember, safe storage practices should be a key part of your food safety plan. Temperature control is vital; storerooms such as warehouse should be between 50°F and 70°F, with cooler temperatures preferred. Every 18°F increase can cut the storage life of food in half. Humidity levels should ideally be 15% or less to keep food in good condition.
