Project
180 TPD Margarine and Mayonnaise Factory
Full detailed engineering by PMG for a new 180 TPD margarine & mayonnaise factory in Ogun State, Nigeria - masterplan, process, MEP, civil/PEB and
Opportunity
Golden Oil Industries set out to build a new 180 TPD margarine and mayonnaise factory at Miro Agro, Sagamu in Ogun State, Nigeria - consolidating jerry-can and PET packaging, a margarine manufacturing and filling line, and mayonnaise processing (including Fryma units relocated from its Onitsha plant) on a single ~15,000-20,000 sqm site, with room to expand.
Solution
PMG delivered the complete detailed engineering as one integrated package: factory block diagram and hygiene-zoned masterplan, process and utility design with P&IDs and URS, HVAC and pressure-cascade ventilation, building and architectural drawings, civil and structural (PEB) design, and electrical and instrumentation - each backed by tender-ready BOQs for procurement.
Outcome
The client received a fully coordinated, construction-ready design for the new factory - hygiene-zoned for food safety, sized for 180 TPD across margarine, mayonnaise and packaging lines, and laid out with clear provision for future expansion - with BOQs ready to tender across civil, PEB, MEP, fire-fighting and electrical packages.

Project Highlights
180 TPD margarine and mayonnaise factory in Ogun State
Nigeria
Full detailed engineering across all disciplines under one roof
Hygiene-zoned masterplan separating clean and non-clean areas
Margarine
mayonnaise (Fryma)
jerry-can and PET lines integrated
Tender-ready BOQs for civil
PEB
MEP
fire-fighting and electrical
Built-in provision for future lines and utilities
Key Challenges
Coordinating six engineering disciplines into one integrated design
Relocating and integrating existing Fryma mayonnaise units from Onitsha
Designing hygienic zoning and pressure cascades for cross-contamination control
Planning future line and utility expansion on the same masterplan
Delivering to an international (Nigeria) site and execution context
Why PMG was chosen
PMG delivered every detailed-engineering discipline for the new factory under one roof - masterplan, process, utilities, HVAC, architecture, civil/structural and electrical/instrumentation - so the design is fully coordinated rather than split across consultants. The layout is built around food-safety hygiene zoning and pressure-cascade ventilation, integrates relocated mayonnaise (Fryma) units with new margarine and packaging lines, and keeps clear provision for future expansion.
