Farmley, a rapidly growing brand specializing in flavored dry fruits and nuts, operates manufacturing units in (Madhya Pradesh) and (Bihar). They recently received funding to support its expansion strategy and meet increasing consumer demand. The company envisions a greenfield manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh with a production capacity of 30TPD factory. PMG onboarded as the end-to-end engineering partner for this critical project. Where our scope includes plant layout, process and utility systems (HVAC, electrical, and firefighting), complete automation, and project management. The objective is to develop a world-class facility focused on process efficiency, scalability, and food safety. As part of our strategic engagement, we carry out a detailed process and infrastructure gap analysis to ensure the new plant meets current production needs while remaining adaptable for future innovations and product diversification. A key driver behind this initiative is Farmley’s long-term vision of achieving operational excellence, reducing manual dependency, and ensuring consistent product quality.
PMG is currently engaged in executing end-to-end engineering services for Farmley’s upcoming greenfield facility. The project begins with a comprehensive assessment of existing operations, followed by site visits and detailed consultations with key stakeholders to understand production challenges and future goals. We are actively working on plant layout finalization, with a focus on optimizing space, improving material flow, and integrating hygienic design principles aligned with food safety standards such as FSSAI and HACCP. Workflow zoning is being implemented to segregate raw and processed areas, reducing cross-contamination risks. To support efficient production, we are incorporating a combination of reusable machinery and new automated systems, especially in batch processing areas, to reduce manual dependency and ensure consistency. Designs for HVAC, electrical, and firefighting systems are underway, prioritizing energy efficiency, clean air delivery, and compliance with safety regulations. Our modular and scalable approach allows the facility to remain adaptable for future expansions and product diversification. The project is being delivered under our “first-time-right” philosophy, with a strong focus on timeline and quality.
The ongoing collaboration between PMG and Farmley is set to deliver a high-capacity, future-ready production facility tailored to meet the rising demand in the dry fruits and nuts sector. The new plant is being designed to achieve throughput levels up to two to three times higher than legacy systems, driven by a highly automated and streamlined production process. As the work progresses, key focus areas include reducing manpower dependency while maintaining consistent product quality, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency. The facility layout under development emphasizes hygienic zoning and regulatory compliance, ensuring food safety is embedded into every stage of production. The design also incorporates flexibility for scaling and diversification, enabling Farmley to adapt quickly to market trends and new product introductions. Once completed, the facility is expected to strengthen Farmley’s position in the market by supporting swift response to demand surges, all while upholding the premium quality standards the brand is known for.
