Production Orders — Production — Workspace
Execute manufacturing with materials, outputs, downtime, and OEE.
Overview
A Production Order is the core manufacturing execution
record. It tracks the full production lifecycle from planning through
completion, integrating material consumption from storage, batch output
recording, downtime logging, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
calculation, and cost breakdown. Production Orders can be created
standalone or generated from Sales Orders, in which case material
requirements are auto-populated from the Product BOM.

Creating a Production Order
To create a new production order:
Navigate to Production Orders and click
New Order.
The system auto-generates a unique number (PROD-0001, PROD-0002,
etc.).
Select the Product BOM and
Line BOM (or create from a Sales Order, which
pre-fills these).
Enter the Planned Quantity and set planned
start/end dates.
Choose the Priority (low, medium, high,
urgent).
Save — the system auto-generates material consumption
entries from the BOM ingredients, calculating planned quantities
as ingredient quantity-per-unit multiplied by planned
quantity.…
