Expenses — Human Resources — Workspace
Claim what you spent on the company, get it approved, and see what you are owed.
Overview
Expenses is for money you spent on the company's behalf and
need back — a taxi to a site, a hotel, a client lunch, a part bought
locally. You claim it with the bill attached, someone reviews it, and the
Ledger tells you what you are owed.
Not the same as project cost. Project Management records what a
project spends. Expenses records what the company owes you.

Claiming an expense
Start with a claim — the envelope for one trip or one
month, like "Chennai site visit, 12–14 Aug". Then add each thing you
spent on as a separate line, with its own amount, date and bill.
One claim, many lines, because a three-day trip is one submission and not eight
of them. Each line is judged on its own, so the taxi can be approved while the
hotel is queried.
When everything is in, press Submit for review. Until you do,
the claim is a draft and only you can see it.
