Track and resolve construction work not meeting specifications
Overview
A Non-Conformance Report (NCR) documents construction work that does not meet approved
specifications, drawings, or quality standards. Every NCR identifies the deficiency, assigns
the responsible contractor, and follows a strict four-stage lifecycle until the issue is
verified as resolved. NCRs are critical for quality assurance — auditors and clients need
evidence that every non-conformance was identified, corrected, and verified before project
handover.
Raising an NCR
Navigate to NCR and click New NCR.
Set the Date when the non-conformance was identified.
Enter the Location on site where the issue was found.
Write a detailed Description of the non-conformance.
Enter the Reference Specification — the drawing or spec clause that was violated (e.g., "Drawing A-101, Clause 4.3").
Select the Contractor responsible for rectification from the stakeholder register.
Set the Severity:
Minor — cosmetic or insignificant deviation, does not affect structural integrity or function.
Major — significant deviation that affects quality, requires rework.
Critical — serious deviation that affects safety or structural integrity, requires immediate ac…
