Drawing Register — Workspace Help
Centralized drawing tracking with revision management
Overview
The Drawing Register is a centralized inventory of all project drawings with full revision
tracking. Every drawing is catalogued with its number, title, discipline, revision code,
and current status. The key feature is revision management: when a new revision
is issued, the old revision is automatically marked as superseded, preventing anyone from
working off an outdated drawing — a common source of construction errors.
Registering Drawings
Navigate to Drawing Register and click New Drawing.
Enter the Drawing Number (e.g., "A-201", "S-301", "E-101").
Enter the Title (e.g., "Ground Floor Plan", "Structural Column Schedule").
Select the Discipline: Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire, HVAC, Architectural, or Other.
Enter the Revision Code (e.g., "R0" for the initial issue, or "A", "B" per your convention).
Set the Status: For Review, Approved, Current, or Superseded.
Enter Issued By (the design firm) and Issued To (receiving parties).
Set the Issued Date and upload the File (PDF, DWG, etc.).
Click Save.
