Pre-commissioning and commissioning checklists for building systems
Overview
The Commissioning app manages the testing and verification of building systems (HVAC,
Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, etc.) before project handover. It uses a two-tier
structure: Commissioning Systems define the template (system name and grouped
checklist items), and Commissioning Checklists are the execution records for
each phase. Every building system is tested through two phases — pre-commissioning and
commissioning — to ensure it functions correctly before the client takes possession.
System Templates
Define the building systems and their checklist items:
Navigate to Commissioning > Systems and click New System.
Enter the System Name (e.g., "HVAC - AHU System", "Fire Alarm Panel", "Electrical Switchgear").
Add a Description of what the system covers.
Build the Checklist Items — each item has a name and a category group.
For example, for an HVAC system:
Category "Ductwork": "All ductwork connections verified", "Dampers functional"
Category "AHU": "Motor rotation checked", "Belt tension correct"
Category "Performance": "Temperature differential within spec", "Airflow readings recorded"
Click Save.
