Record safety induction sessions for new site workers
Overview
Every person stepping onto a construction site must first receive a mandatory HSE induction.
The Induction app lets you maintain reusable induction programs and record each session
with full attendance tracking. Auditors can verify that no worker started on site
without documented proof of induction.
The system follows a two-tier pattern: Induction Programs (reusable templates
that define what topics are covered) and Induction Sessions (the actual events
where those programs are delivered to groups of workers).
Creating Induction Programs
Programs are reusable templates you set up once and reference across multiple sessions.
Each program captures the content that will be delivered during an induction.
Navigate to Induction > Programs and click New Program.
Enter a descriptive Topic (e.g., "Site Safety Orientation", "Environmental Awareness").
Add a Description covering the key points to be presented.
Upload any Reference Files (PDF handouts, CSV sign-off sheets) — these are stored on S3 and linked to the program.
Click Save. The program is now available for selection when recording sessions.
