Track equipment register and daily utilization hours
Overview
The Equipment Log is a two-tier system: a master register of all equipment
and plant on site, and daily usage logs for each piece of equipment. The
register tracks what equipment exists (cranes, excavators, generators, etc.), while the
daily log records operating hours, idle hours, and equipment status. This data is essential
for equipment utilization analysis, hired equipment billing, and maintenance scheduling.
Equipment Register
The register is your master inventory of all equipment on site:
Navigate to Equipment Log > Register and click New Equipment.
Enter the Name (e.g., "Tower Crane TC-01", "Generator Set GS-03").
Select the Type from 11 categories:
Crane, Excavator, Loader, Compactor, Batching Plant, Generator, Welding Machine, Pump, Scaffolding, Vehicle, Other.
Enter Make/Model (e.g., "Liebherr 280 EC-H") and the Owner (contractor or company).
Set Mobilized On (date equipment arrived on site) and Demobilized On (date it left, if applicable).
Click Save.
