Opportunity
BRAC Foods aimed to establish a state-of-the-art greenfield dairy plant in Salanga, Bangladesh, with a processing capacity of up to 320 KLPD. The plant will produce a range of dairy products, including Milk Powder, Ghee, Butter, Cheese, Mozzarella, and Sweets. As part of the early planning stages, BRAC Foods sought to understand the feasibility of the proposed facility, specifically focusing on space requirements for the new plant. PMG was onboarded to support this evaluation process by providing critical design insights.
Solution
PMG provided comprehensive support to BRAC Foods by developing detailed 2D and 3D designs for the dairy plant, along with structural load calculations for the buildings. This work was essential in assessing the spatial and structural feasibility of the proposed facility. The deliverables, which included detailed design documents and load analysis, were intended to enable BRAC Foods' project team to secure the necessary approvals for moving forward with the project.
PMG’s team also conducted a site visit to Bangladesh, to present the designs and discuss future needs.
Outcome
Through PMG's expert support in design and feasibility evaluation, BRAC Foods was able to move forward with a clear understanding of the spatial requirements for the new dairy plant. During meeting, the Managing Director acknowledged and approved the design work, confirming its alignment with BRAC Foods' vision for the plant. The approval of the designs facilitated the next steps in the project, positioning BRAC Foods to proceed with further planning and construction phases. The successful collaboration between PMG and BRAC Foods laid the groundwork for future development and expansion of the dairy facility.
