Opportunity
Govind Dairy needed to ensure compliance with industry standards for supplying dairy powder to multinational companies (MNCs). As part of this requirement, the company was mandated to perform a crack test on their existing 30TPD spray dryer. The goal was to validate the structural integrity of the dryer to meet safety and operational standards. To achieve this, PMG was engaged to conduct a comprehensive crack and crevice inspection using Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, ensuring the dryer met the stringent compliance guidelines for MNC supply
Solution
PMG provided a thorough inspection and testing service for the 30TPD spray dryer, ensuring the dryer was fully compliant with the necessary safety regulations. Our solution encompassed the following activities:
• Visual Inspection of the Dryer and Welding Joints
• NDT Crack Testing via Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT)
• Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) using a Gauge
• Testing of Representative Surfaces and Welding Joints
• On-site Rectification of any Issues Detected, followed by Re-testing
The NDT Level-II certified engineers applied their expertise to conduct these tests to ensure the integrity of the dryer, providing comprehensive reports that met the high standards required by MNCs.
Outcome
Upon completion of the tests, the spray dryer was deemed satisfactory for continued use, with no critical issues detected. The testing results, documented in the PMG report, were accepted by MNC company, ensuring credibility and compliance with industry standards. The dryer was found to meet all operational safety requirements, and PMG recommended periodic re-testing on an annual basis to maintain compliance and ensure long-term operational safety.
PMG’s professional approach and meticulous testing not only ensured immediate compliance but also established a foundation for ongoing safety and reliability for Govind Dairy's equipment, helping them meet the stringent requirements for MNC supply
