Define key project milestones with dates, ownership, and progress
Overview
Milestones mark the key checkpoints and deliverables in a project's
timeline. Unlike tasks (which represent individual work items), milestones
represent significant achievements — design freeze, procurement complete,
commissioning start, and so on. Each milestone is assigned a unique number
(e.g. MST-0001) and can be linked to project deliverables and
chained to other milestones through predecessor-successor relationships.
